Issue Position

The largest industrial complex in Georgia, Robins Air Force Base is an invaluable asset to our economy. During fiscal year 2011, Robins employed nearly 23,000 people, generated $1.81 billion dollars in payroll, and contributed $4.49 billion dollars in total economic impact to our state. As a flight surgeon and former Chief, Aviation Medicine, Georgia Army National Guard, I have spent considerable time at Robins. Having served there, I understand the base from both a military and economic perspective. As your state senator, I will work tirelessly to promote and protect Robins Air Force Base and the many jobs it provides Georgia citizens.
